The Unhurried Woman
the art of deep rest
friday 8th - Sunday 10th october 2027
west lexham, norfolk Uk
A weekend of slow & soulful yoga, wild swims, fireside naps and unhurried afternoons in nature.
Join me for two nights in the peaceful norfolk countryside as we rediscover the medicine of deep rest.
We'll gather from 8th - 10th October 2027 in 22 acres of woodland and beautiful Norfolk countryside at West Lexham, a place that invites you to slow down almost as soon as you arrive.
Mornings begin with yoga in the Orangery, overlooking the still waters of the lake, followed by delicious, nourishing vegetarian meals, lovingly prepared by my good friend Beth. There'll be the opportunity for wild swims from the Shell House at the water's edge, sauna heat as the evenings draw in, long, candlelit meals shared around the table and unhurried wanderings through the grounds and trees. A weekend immersed in nature, good company and the simple pleasure of having nowhere else to be.
You’re welcome to arrive from 3pm on the Friday and we’ll finish just after lunch (around 1pm) on the Sunday.
Our days will move gently between practice and pause: energising morning yoga, deeply restorative bedtime practices, fireside circles and spacious afternoons with nowhere to be.
As golden light settles across the lake and the trees turn amber, the pace of life begins to soften. Together, we will honour the transition into the cooler months, making space to listen to what summer has stirred, integrate what it has revealed and gently reorient ourselves towards autumn.
This is your soft landing. A space to lay down what you no longer need to carry, and to feel your feet on the ground again.
A reminder that you don't have to keep blooming all year long. There is beauty, wisdom and restoration in turning inwards, too.
There is medicine in deep rest.
The pause is a place of power.
go there often.

why i created this retreat
Growing up, I never knew a relaxed woman. I knew plenty of ambitious, capable and 'successful' women but I didn't know any who gave themselves unconditional permission to slow down without guilt, apology or feeling like they had to earn it.
I created this retreat to bring women together to experience the medicine that is deep rest. To learn that rest isn't something we need to squeeze in around everything else, but something we deserve to wholeheartedly give ourselves permission to receive.
Rest is very often a bridge between where we are and where we want to be. A bridge that can lead us towards greater clarity, connection, creativity and a different relationship with ourselves and the world around us.
This weekend is an invitation to step onto that bridge and discover what might be waiting for you on the other side.
Where you’ll be staying
Nestled within 22 acres of lush Norfolk countryside, West Lexham is an eco-friendly and holistic healing retreat which offers an idyllic backdrop for our weekend.
There is a wild swimming lake, sauna, paddleboards, outdoor pool and a Japanese garden. The Orangery is where our morning yoga will take place overlooking the lake. We’ll gather for meals in the Village Hall, which has underfloor heating and a cosy log-burning stove. This is also where our bedtime practices will take place before you drift off to your comfortable ensuite rooms for a restful night’s sleep.

No, my yoga classes will be open and accessible to all levels. However, you will need to be comfortable kneeling and getting up and down off the floor. I will ask for some basic recent medical history however, in case there is anything I need to be aware of.
